Pictured Rocks National Lakeshores 

Pictured Rocks has lots of amazing rock formations. It extends forty-two miles along the lakeshore. One of the rock formations there is sandstone cliffs that extend along it. Some other examples are sea caves, arches, blowholes, turrets, and stone spires. There are other features like Chapel Rock that have been sculpted from cliffs by erosion.

Traverse City

People come to Traverse City to see the Cherry Festival and go to the City Opera House. The first Cherry Festival was in 1982. The Cherry Festival lasts over 8 days and attracts more than 500,000 people. It has more than 150 events and most of them are free. The City Opera House was built in 1891. It hasted plays, lectures, meetings, balls, concerts, and vaudeville acts before closing in 1920.

Lake Erie 

Lake Erie is a famous lake with lots of things to do. It is the warmest of all the great lakes. But it freezes over the most in the winter. Lake Erie is dangerous to swim in because it is polluted. It is polluted because fertilizer from farms washes down streams into it.
